1Overview

Lions Roar Labs LLC ("Lions Roar Labs," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Legend Forge mobile application (the "App") and related services (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

By creating an account and using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Plain language summary: We collect the information you provide when creating an account, data about how you use the App, and technical device information. We use this information to operate the Service and to understand and improve our marketing. We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with third parties except as described in this policy.

2Information We Collect

We collect information in the following categories:

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • A unique user identifier (User ID) assigned to your account
  • Any optional profile information you choose to provide

User Content

When you interact with AI persona agents in the App, we collect the content you submit, including:

  • Questions, prompts, and conversational input you send to AI personas
  • Context provided to personalize AI coaching responses

This content is transmitted to third-party AI inference providers (Anthropic and Mistral AI) to generate responses. See Section 4 for details on how this data is shared.

Usage and Performance Data

As you use the App, we automatically collect data about your activity, including:

  • Lessons accessed, completed, and time spent
  • Product interactions and in-app feature usage patterns
  • Assessment responses and scores
  • Learning progress and engagement metrics

Device and Technical Information

We collect standard technical information from your device, including:

  • Device type, model, and operating system version
  • Unique device identifiers (such as the iOS Identifier for Vendors, IDFV)
  • App version
  • Crash reports and diagnostic data
  • Performance data and other diagnostic information
  • IP address and approximate location derived from IP (not GPS location)

3How We Use Your Information

To Operate and Deliver the Service

You can opt out of marketing communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or by contacting us directly at the address listed in Section 10. Opting out of marketing does not affect our ability to send you operational messages about your account.

4How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:

AI Inference Providers

When you interact with AI persona agents in the App, the content of your messages — including questions, prompts, and conversational context — is transmitted to third-party AI inference providers to generate responses. We currently use:

  • Anthropic — processes chat content to generate AI persona responses
  • Mistral AI — processes chat content for certain AI evaluation and response tasks

These providers act as data processors on our behalf. They are contractually prohibited from using your content for any purpose other than generating responses within the App. Their use of your data is governed by their respective data processing agreements and privacy policies.

Service Providers

We work with other trusted third-party vendors who help us operate the Service — for example, cloud hosting providers and email delivery services. These vendors are contractually required to use your information only to provide services to us and may not use it for their own purposes.

If Lions Roar Labs is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or a prominent notice in the App before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, or if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect and defend our rights or property, prevent fraud or abuse, or protect the safety of our users or the public.

With Your Consent

We may share your information with third parties when you have given us explicit consent to do so.

5Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active, or as long as is necessary to provide you with the Service. We also retain information as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

6Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you are located, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the information in Section 10. We will respond to your request within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request.

California Residents

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete your information, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To submit a CCPA request, contact us at the address in Section 10.

European Residents

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or UK GDPR. Our legal bases for processing your information include: performance of a contract (operating your account and delivering the Service), legitimate interests (improving the Service and marketing our products), and consent (where we have asked for it). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

7Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encrypted data transmission (TLS/HTTPS) and access controls limiting who within Lions Roar Labs can access personal data.

No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you become aware of any security vulnerability or breach related to the App, please contact us immediately at the address in Section 10.

8Children's Privacy

Legend Forge is intended for users aged 17 and older and is rated accordingly in the Apple App Store. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information as quickly as possible.

If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately at the address in Section 10.

9Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy and, where appropriate, by sending a notification to the email address associated with your account or displaying a notice in the App.

Your continued use of the App after any changes to this policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the Legend Forge iOS application and related services operated by Lions Roar Labs LLC.

T1Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Legend Forge application (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Lions Roar Labs LLC ("Lions Roar Labs," "we," "us," or "our"). Your continued use of the App following any updates to these Terms constitutes acceptance of those changes.

T2Eligibility

You must be at least 17 years of age to use the App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.

If you are accessing the App through an enterprise or organizational account, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

T3Free Trial and Subscription

Legend Forge is offered on a subscription basis with the following terms:

Free Trial

New users receive a 3-day free trial upon account creation. At the end of the trial period, your account will automatically convert to a paid monthly subscription unless you cancel before the trial expires. You will not be charged during the trial period.

Subscription Plans

  • Monthly subscription — billed monthly on the date your trial converts to paid
  • Annual subscription — billed once per year at a discounted rate

Billing and Payment

All payments are processed through Apple's App Store. By subscribing, you authorize Apple to charge your designated payment method on a recurring basis. Subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law or as provided in Apple's refund policy.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to the App until the end of the period for which you have already paid. Lions Roar Labs does not process cancellations directly — all subscription management is handled through Apple.

Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. We will provide reasonable advance notice of any price changes. Your continued use of the App after a price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

T4User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at contact@lionsroarlabs.com if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account.

You may not share your account with others, create multiple accounts for the purpose of circumventing restrictions, or transfer your account to another person without our written consent.

T5Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. The following conduct is strictly prohibited:

Prohibited Content

  • Submitting content that is vulgar, profane, obscene, or sexually explicit
  • Harassing, threatening, or intimidating other users or Lions Roar Labs personnel
  • Submitting content that promotes hatred, discrimination, or violence against any individual or group
  • Sharing content that is defamatory, fraudulent, or intentionally misleading
  • Uploading or transmitting malware, viruses, or any other malicious code

Prohibited Actions

  • Attempting to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the App
  • Scraping, crawling, or otherwise extracting data from the App in an automated manner
  • Using the App to train competing AI models or systems
  • Circumventing or attempting to bypass any technical restrictions or security measures
  • Impersonating any person, entity, or AI persona
  • Using the App in any way that could damage, disable, or impair its operation

Live Cohort Conduct

Legend Forge includes or will include live cohort experiences — group learning sessions facilitated by AI moderation. When participating in cohorts, you additionally agree to:

  • Engage respectfully with all other cohort participants
  • Refrain from disrupting, dominating, or derailing group sessions
  • Not share, record, or redistribute cohort session content without the express consent of all participants
  • Maintain the confidentiality of personal information shared by other participants during sessions
  • Follow any additional cohort-specific guidelines provided at the time of enrollment

All cohort interactions are subject to AI moderation. Lions Roar Labs reserves the right to review flagged content and take appropriate action, including removal from a cohort or termination of your account.

AI Moderation: Live cohort sessions and AI persona interactions are monitored by automated AI moderation systems to detect policy violations. Flagged content may be reviewed by Lions Roar Labs personnel.

T6AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

The App uses artificial intelligence to generate responses through historical persona agents and coaching interactions. You acknowledge and agree that:

  • AI-generated responses are provided for educational and informational purposes only and do not constitute professional advice of any kind
  • AI responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, or not suitable for your specific circumstances
  • Historical personas are fictional representations and their responses should not be taken as historically accurate statements
  • Lions Roar Labs is not responsible for any decisions you make based on AI-generated content
  • AI-generated content is not a substitute for professional coaching, legal, financial, medical, or psychological advice

T7Intellectual Property

The App, including all content, features, AI personas, learning modules, design, code, and underlying technology, is owned by Lions Roar Labs LLC and is protected by United States and international intellectual property laws.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial use in accordance with these Terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, sublicense, or create derivative works based on the App or its content without our prior written consent.

You retain ownership of content you submit to the App. By submitting content, you grant Lions Roar Labs a limited license to process and transmit that content solely as necessary to provide the Service, including transmission to AI inference providers as described in our Privacy Policy.

T8Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the App at our sole discretion, with or without notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to other users, Lions Roar Labs, or third parties.

Grounds for termination include but are not limited to: violation of the Acceptable Use policy, fraudulent activity, non-payment, or any conduct that Lions Roar Labs reasonably determines to be harmful or inappropriate.

Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. If your account is terminated for cause, you will not be entitled to a refund of any prepaid subscription fees. You may appeal a termination decision by contacting us at contact@lionsroarlabs.com.

T9Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Lions Roar Labs does not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Lions Roar Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App shall not exceed the amount you paid to Lions Roar Labs in the twelve months preceding the claim.

T10Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in North Carolina.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

T11Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, by sending a notification to the email address associated with your account or displaying a notice in the App.

Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the App and cancel your subscription.
